This course is the second installment of the DACO Program in Alaska!  The Alaska Chiropractic Society, in partnership with the University of Bridgeport, launched the Diplomate, Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DACO) program in Alaska in 2018 with our first session at the ACS 2018 Convention on October 4, 2018 with James Lehman DC, MBA, FACO with Statin Myopathy:  A Common Cause of Chronic Pain  |  Differential Diagnosis of Low Back Pain  |  Differential Diagnosis of Radial Tunnel Syndrome and Lateral Epicondylosis  |  Evaluation and Management of Spinal Cord Emergency & Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy.

Even if earning a Diplomate isn’t your goal, you will receive 14 hours of CE credit in Alaska for each completed course in 2019.  Have your CCSP already? Earn your DACO faster! The ACO permits 50 hours of credit for CCSP.  Missed the October, 2018 first installment?  No worries - those 8 hours can be added to the online hours instead.

Rotator cuff injuries alone account for 4.5 million physician office visits per years.  Management of this problem can range from frustrating to rewarding depending on the depth of your training.  This class is a practical 14-hour workshop outlining everything participants need to know about successfully treating shoulder and elbow problems.  This class will review the current "best practices" for evaluation, treatment and home rehab.  You'll leave this class with greater understanding and confidence about how to manage the most common problems that affect the shoulder and upper extremity.

Our third session will be for a total of 14 hours (10 clinical + 4 radiology) on March 9-10, 2019 with James Lehman DC, MBA, FACO with Whiplash Associated Disorders:  The Pathway from Acute to Chronic Pain and Tawnia Adams, DC, DACBR with Spinal and Extremity Imaging Following Trauma.

ACS Members $345   /  Non-Members  $445

Designed specifically for practicing chiropractors, University of Bridgeport’s Neuromusculoskeletal Post-Graduate Program and the related DACO Diplomate will give you the credentials necessary to become a valuable member of a primary healthcare team.

The initial 50 hours of on-site training will be followed by 250 hours of online education, which focuses on differential diagnosis, evaluation and management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, especially acute and chronic pain conditions.  Details regarding the University of Bridgeport Orthopedics and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine post-grad program can be found at http://www.bridgeport.edu/academics/schools-colleges/health-science-post-graduate-programs/chiropractic-orthopedic-neuromusculosketal
