Alaska Chiropractic Society Officers/Board Members 2018 - 2020

Dr. Todd Curzie, President

Phone:  (907) 569-9355

email President

Some of you know me and of course, some may not. I have practicing in Anchorage, Alaska for over 17 years. I have been a member of the ACS since that year. I am a huge advocate of chiropractors being a member of a unified group. I totally support the ACS and its mission to support Chiropractic and its progress.

I have been treasurer of the ACS from 2006-2010. I have raised funds by directing a golf tournament for 5 years. I currently sit on the legislative committee for the ACS. I am a strong supporter of my alma mater. I hosted a radio show for a few years to benefit all chiropractors in the community.

There is no doubt that I truly support the chiropractic community.

There are many reasons that I wish to be president of the ACS, but my primary motivation is to keep Chiropractic moving forward without compromising our founding principles. I believe we need a president with a good foundation and understanding of our core principles in order to move forward. Yes, I am strong in the philosophy of chiropractic, but I'm not naive.

We have a bright future ahead of us as chiropractors. We don't need to be afraid of the government or other health care providers. We need to be strong and unite as a group and move forward.

Join me in my mission to provide CHIROPRACTIC services to our great state and let us be the example other states follow.

Dr. Kelly Ryan is a 3rd generation chiropractor. He grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated from Robert Service high school in 2000. He graduated in 2008 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and began working for Community Chiropractic Clinic shortly after. As the clinic director, Dr. Kelly is responsible for the general operations and direction of patient care within the office. Dr. Kelly's patient care focuses on evidenced based practices and protocols and uses a variety of techniques including manual force adjusting (Diversified techniques), Impulse instrument based adjusting, extremity adjustments, sports taping, soft tissue work (including instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation and FAKTR©), McKenzie© (MDT) therapy, exercise injury/rehab and nutritional counseling. Dr. Kelly (as he is referred to in the office) aims to empower patients in taking charge of their health while treating them for their complaints.

He was elected as Vice President of the Alaska Chiropractic Society in 2012 and is currently still serving on that executive board as well as the board of the International Gallery of Contemporary Art (IGCA). Dr. Ryan was certified for instrument assisted adjusting by Neuromechanical innovations in 2011 and became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician© (CCSP©) in 2016. In 2018 Dr. Ryan expanded his knowledge of soft tissue and movement even further and became a certified FAKTR© provider and SFMA certified practitioner. In 2019, he completed his Certified Functional Strength Trainer certification to provide functional strength training as part of his rehabilitation. He is a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and enjoys spending time with his little brother. Dr. Kelly's hobbies include camping, fishing, sports, computer building, volunteer work and art.
